Pune’s thirty-six-year-old Deepika Patil has been playing poker for a few years, but she started playing professionally last seven months ago
Deepika says that “Poker is a fantastic game. It gives a good experience and joy with the opportunity of a big win. It’s a challenge like puzzles. Freedom, mental competitiveness, and strategy attract me more to the game. This has helped me to concentrate.
Deepika learned to play the game with her cousins. He spends an average of six to eight hours on poker. Deepika adds that “I was always interested in playing mathematically challenging games. I believe it is my patience that helped me excel in poker. Also, whenever I get time, I spend about two hours on online forums and tutorials. I have to give so much time every day because the game is developing in our country, and to go a step further, you have to work hard.”
Laning Tho
The Bengaluru-residing, 28-year-old Laning Tho, has been playing poker commercially for the past three years. Postgraduate learning in women’s study works with an event management company.
